GENERAL AIMS OF THE SCHOOL
- To stimulate the children’s emotional and social development to enable them to realise their full potential.
- To help pupils develop lively, enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks.
- To develop an awareness and appreciation of the child’s locality, language, culture, traditions and physical development.
- The development of personal moral values and respect for religious values.
- The development of language in all forms, so that it becomes a purposeful and meaningful means of communication. This will include listening, speaking, reading writing and literary appreciation.
- To acquire understanding, knowledge and skills relevant to adult life: mathematical, scientific and technological.
- The encouragement of self-expression through music, mime, drama, art and craft and physical education.
